If you’re dreaming of a luxury Irish castle celebration, this Dromoland Castle wedding is the perfect inspiration. Iseult and Gearoid created a day that was romantic, black-tie, and elegant — yet wonderfully relaxed and full of fun. Set against winter light, festive décor, and centuries of history, their celebration felt like one unforgettable party from beginning to end.
Ceremony at Our Lady of the Wells Church
The couple exchanged vows in the beautiful church in Clonmoney, Newmarket. The ceremony was warm, intimate, and filled with soft winter light streaming through the windows — a gentle, romantic start before guests made their way to the castle for the celebrations.
One of Ireland’s most iconic castle wedding venues, Dromoland Castle is renowned for its rich heritage, grand architecture, and five-star luxury. Dating back centuries and once home to Irish royalty, the castle blends historic character with refined elegance — sweeping staircases, ornate interiors, and breathtaking grounds.
In winter, the atmosphere becomes even more magical. Christmas décor filled the castle with glowing lights, greenery, and candlelit warmth, creating a romantic and festive setting perfect for a winter wedding in Ireland.
The winter light on the grounds was exceptional — soft, luminous, and flattering — creating stunning, natural photographs throughout the day.

Black Tie Style with a Relaxed, Party Atmosphere
Although the wedding was black tie, Iseult and Gearoid wanted their day to feel natural, fun, and relaxed rather than formal. Guests embraced the elegance while enjoying a celebration that felt joyful and effortless. It truly felt like one big party set inside a historic Irish castle.
The Bride’s Stunning Look
Iseult wore a breathtaking gown by Wona Concept — an eye-catching, unforgettable design that perfectly complemented the grandeur of the castle. The dress was dramatic yet romantic, and she looked absolutely incredible.
Her elegant Prada shoes completed the look with timeless sophistication.
Music & Celebration Throughout the Day
Music shaped the atmosphere from start to finish. The band performed three lively sets — during the drinks reception, at the start of dinner, and again at the end of dinner — keeping the energy flowing and guests fully immersed in the celebration.
Later, guests moved to the Kincora Suite where Fergus Nolan played piano for the after-party, creating a vibrant and intimate atmosphere that carried the celebration late into the evening.
A Winter Wedding Full of Light, Joy & Elegance
From twinkling Christmas lights to glowing winter portraits, every detail of this Dromoland Castle wedding reflected romance and warmth. The luxurious setting, relaxed atmosphere, and joyful celebration created a day that was elegant yet full of life.
For couples planning a Dromoland Castle wedding, Iseult and Gearoid’s celebration is the perfect example of how a black-tie winter wedding can feel both sophisticated and wonderfully fun — a timeless Irish castle wedding filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
