I don’t even know where to start with Meg & Michael’s wedding that took place in Mount Druid. The venue is one of a kind, an alternative boutique wedding venue in Ireland.

I was so excited when I received an enquiry from them. There were planning two wedding ceremonies — one in Ireland, at Mound Druid, which is one of my favourite venues in Ireland.  And then elopement in Iceland. I was lucky to photograph both of their weddings.

Today I’m super happy to share with you my favourite images from their Irish wedding at Mount Druid. If you are looking for a unique alternative venue to get married, you should definitely check them out.

The couple was staying at Mount Druid for their morning preparations, followed by the ceremony in the barn and reception in the Boat House.

I started my day documenting Meg’s preparations. From the moment I met Megan and her crew, I knew it was going to be a fantastic day. And it was so laid back, with a great atmosphere and love throughout the day.

Meg & Michael are genuinely an incredible couple. Not only so much in love with each other, but also they are best friends. I had the privilege to witness so many unforgettable moments between the two of them.

And, of course, Mount Druid never disappoints; place, people, food – all these factors make this place really unique. So many hidden gems which are perfect for alternative portraits of bride & groom, beautifully DIY details which can be seen absolutely everywhere. I really love photographing weddings there.
