A Relaxed Morning for the groom at The Glenroyal Hotel
Philip and his groomsmen kicked off the wedding morning in style at the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth. With its warm atmosphere and comfortable setting, it was the perfect place for the guys to unwind before the big moment. The morning was a mix of relaxed chats, a few laughs, and, of course, getting suited and booted in style.
Meanwhile, Derval was having her own moment of bridal bliss. Wearing a stunning Folkster Bridal gown, she looked effortlessly elegant. Her bridal look was completed with delicate jewellery from One Dame Lane, an intricate updo by Lou Merryweather, and flawless makeup by Rachel Acton—a dream team ensuring she looked radiant for the big day.

Nestled in the Kildare countryside, Barberstown Castle is a breathtaking 13th-century castle that blends historic charm with modern elegance. Its picturesque gardens and enchanting stone walls provided the perfect setting for Derval and Philip’s garden party-inspired wedding. The couple envisioned a laid-back summer evening filled with music, conversation, and laughter, and Barberstown Castle delivered in every way.
The ceremony was heartfelt and intimate, with every detail reflecting the couple’s personalities. Opting for a candid photography style, their day was captured naturally, ensuring every smile, tear, and laugh was preserved authentically.
After the ceremony, guests were treated to an evening of joy and celebration, just as the couple had hoped. The setting exuded a relaxed, summery vibe, where good music and good company took center stage.
One of the highlights of the evening was the unique entertainment between dinner and dancing—a performance by UKEBOX, a lively ukulele duo who kept guests entertained from 8-9 PM. Their upbeat melodies set the perfect tone for the night ahead.
As the evening unfolded, Spring Break, a high-energy band, took over and had everyone on their feet, ensuring that the party continued well into the night.
The floral arrangements, crafted by Total Flower Designs (@totalflowerdesigns), added the perfect romantic touch to the venue, and the wedding cake was nothing short of perfection.
