I am delighted to present a very classy, traditional, adorable, fun wedding in Virginia Park Lodge.
I was thrilled when I found out that I would have the pleasure of photographing Christopher and Jennifer’s wedding at Virginia Parl Lodge.
I worked at the luxurious wedding venue a few times before, and I was glad I could return. I strongly believe that the people and the atmosphere they create are always the most important ingredients at any event. Still, a good stylish, ambient location is always an excellent addition. For Jennifer and Chris, it was essential; they needed to pick a venue where everyone could be together and relax for as long as possible. A place that wasn’t a hotel but that could accommodate all of its guests. I can only say that the choice was excellent.
Virginia Park Lodge in Co. Cavan is only about an hour’s drive from Dublin. However, once you reach this stunning estate, you will know it was much worth the visit. There are so many opportunities for wedding photographs and also to entertain wedding guests as well. Acres of stunning lawns and gardens, lake, All this exclusively for your wedding. If that’s not enough, there is golf, shooting, or boating on the lakes or hours of beautiful walks around the estate. The venue can also offer the likes of high-quality canoeing or fishing on the lake.
It’s quite impressive what they have to offer.
Virginia Park Lodge is licensed to hold civil ceremonies and partnerships. This means you can exchange your vows in the house, lake view pavilion, the walled gardens, or the parterre gardens. The wedding reception room is an exclusive pavilion with Lakeview’s can cater for up to 300 guests, or the Beautiful Marchioness banqueting room is perfect for a smaller, more intimate wedding for anything up to 90 guests
The wedding itself was fun, fun, fun. The couple’s intention, above all else, was that the wedding would be enjoyable, full of smiles and laughter. Chis and Jennifer’s wedding was a traditional wedding with a modern twist. It was not their intention to worry about every tiny wedding detail – neither of them has been planning their wedding day since they were little! The couple aimed to create an event that brings together all of the people they love, to spend time with them, and get them mingling with each other and, above all else, to have fun with them!
The most important part of Jennifer and Chris’s wedding, as they said, was togetherness. The priority was spending time with each other, spending time with guests, and guests spending time with each other. Weddings are a rare occasion where people indeed switch off the stresses and anxieties that plague them in the real world. At the wedding, people allow themselves to enjoy and immerse themselves in the time that we all recognize as one of the most beautiful, unique, magical parts of life—the beauty of marriage where two people combine their lives and make one new family.
